Update after returning from Shediac Canada

Well, while we had a great time over the entire trip, we wanted to share the real world “adventure” stories. No one got hurt or sick, but we did have a minor fender bender with a car wash, and the Canada Ocean Surf RV Park in Shediac ( pronounced
“shed”-“yack” ) blew up our power transfer switch. We had to rewire our camper every time we pulled into a campground, and rewire it again when we left, so we could run the generator and power the coach appliances while we drive.

We had a great time in Gettysburg, PA, New York City, Plymouth MA, Saco, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, and Bangor Maine, several weeks before getting into Canada. We were able to answer the rapid fire questions from Canadian Customs to cross the border. However, our friends were not so lucky. I am convinced that if they can trip you up with rapid fire confusing questions, then they will inspect you. If you remain calm, and confident in your SHORT, SIMPLE, and DIRECT answers and don’t show any kind of confusion or hesitation. Know where you are going, and areas you will visit, how long you’re staying and why you are coming in to Canada ( Always say “Vacation” )

We saw the beautiful areas of Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Lunenburg, and Peggy’s Cove. They were all worth a whole day each, but we did Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg all in one long drive day. We wish we would have spent a whole day in Lunenburg now that we have had the experience and would give that advice to anyone who is planning to go to those areas. Peggy’s Cove is definitely beautiful, but doesn’t take long to visit because that is pretty much the whole adventure is taking photos of the lighthouse.
